What is 30 Day Breakaway?
This brand new at home workout program takes you from the couch to a 5K in just 30 days, while teaching you how to incorporate weight training to help prevent injury, run faster, and build more endurance.
But it's SO much more than your typical couch-to-5K program.
Most Couch to 5K programs you find online or on an app:
1. Do not teach you HOW to run.
This can result in injury since your body didn't have time to adapt to the training changes and jump in mileage. Your body can break down rather than build up.
2. Do not offer strength and mobility training.
Again, this can result can result in injuries. Your body is undergoing stress when running, so you need to learn how to properly strength train to build muscle to support your new running habits.
3. Do not provide a nutrition plan.
We know we can’t outrun our forks. Without a plan in place, it’s easy to fail, and trying to figure it out what to eat on from day to day can be daunting. Chances are you won’t see the rapid results in your physique when you’re left to yourself and the endless information on Google.
4. Leave you to train alone.
Most C25k training is either a printed online plan or a downloaded app with few features and you are left to run by yourself, without a community cheering you on. 30 Day Breakaway is Beachbody’s FIRST EVER fitness program designed to be taken outside. It’s a running and resistance-training program that was created to not only teach you HOW to run, but to help you build your strength and stamina to complete a 5K on Day 30.

What does 30 Day Breakaway include?
30 Day Breakaway Calendar. Geared toward new runners who want to get comfortable with consistent runs and eventually complete a 5K. It includes a mix of running and resistance training 6 days a week, 20–45 minutes a day.
Weight training sessions. These are fast and effective workouts and will either target certain areas or work your entire body. You’ll be doing these on certain days to build lean muscle and power your runs.
Audio-guided running workouts. Designed to be downloaded, these workouts are focused on teaching you how to run and guide you through different types of running (or walking) by utilizing your rate of perceived exertion (RPE). Idalis Velazquez, super trainer and creator of the program, pushes you for short bursts at a level that's right for YOU, whether that’s a brisk walk, slow jog, or steady run.
This dynamic combo of running and resistance training will help you incinerate fat as you build strength, endurance, speed, and total-body power!
Equipment needed
You’ll need a set of light, medium, and heavy dumbbells
Beachbody resistance loops (included in Challenge Pack or Accessories Bundle)
A foam roller
And of course, a good pair of running shoes!
